Project Overview:

Ara Hills is a multi-stage, master planned subdivision development which will eventually comprise of 700 - 900 houses in Orewa, Auckland.

Airey Consultants Ltd have been engaged to provide Civil & Structural Engineering consultation services for Stages 1 & 3A of the development. The services provided by Airey Consultants Ltd include project management, concept/master plan development, plan change & consenting, detailed civil engineering design, tender & contract preparation, contract administration & engineer to the contract, construction monitoring, certification & 224©/ CCC sign-offs.

The detailed Civil Engineering design aspects include significant Earthworks, Retaining Walls, Arch Culvert, Erosion & Sediment Control, Roading & Streetscape, Hard Landscaping, Stormwater, Water Supply & Wastewater including a Pump Station.

The stormwater generated from the new impervious surfaces created as part of the development requires treatment and flow/volume control prior to entering the sensitive downstream receiving environment. Airey Consultants Ltd designed several stormwater management devices including public raingarden's, wetlands and private detention/retention tanks to achieve the required mitigation requirements
