Hayman Park Playground boasts an extensive array of play features: climbing walls, two large slides, four rope climbing bridges, a see-saw positioned at the summit of the structure, wall-mounted games, binoculars, a telescope, activities tailored for toddlers, a 4.5-metre-high air swing for serious enthusiasts, double flying foxes, and ground-level attractions, including an inclusive carousel, musical instruments, and play panels designed for children who are dependent on caregivers. There is also a basketball half-court.
The playground project was a collaborative venture initiated in 2016 and developed in two phases. Airey provided engineering services in conjunction with Playground People, who played a key role in designing, manufacturing, and installing most of the equipment within the towering play structure and its surroundings.
